Set on Ullswater, you can take a trip on an Ullswater Steamer, vessels which date from the 1800s. Perhaps set sail on the water in a yacht.
At the base of Helvellyn, you can walk to the top for some of the best views in Cumbria. There are plenty of shorter (and easier) walks close to the water.
